Once more..

Meeting the hound (and the girls hehe)

I went out with Trixy and Himeko the other day and they've both already blogged about it (IKR, I'm so inefficient!). Okay, since I'm too lazy to steal their pictures... their blog posts are here (Trixy's) and here (Himeko's).

We met up at Iluma for Asian Kitchen (again) and Elfaine bailed on us last minute due to work commitments.. BOO ):.

K, so anyway, I had my usual chicken at Asian Kitchen, (the same one as when i went with Ning)

And the hound wanted to nom my food!! But non for him muahahahaha.
But the sneaky hound managed to...

Gobble up all our food T_T. NUUUUUU.

So after the meal, we sat down and chatted for quite awhile: Doing what girls do best. Also, doing what bloggers do best!

So....what's new??

Himeko showing off her ring.

She was wearing 2 initially, but was playing with one while we were chatting so it nearly came loose LOL.

After that, we walked around iluma and camwhored (duh!). Most of the pictures are with Himeko so go over to her blog to see it if you're interested!

DORAEMON, Y U NOM HOUND.

Pika pika!

So yeah, that's about it. We headed into the arcade to camwhore with the OutRun2 vehicles, but all the pictures are with Himeko~

Wholesale shopping.

Friday, July 22, 2011
Went wholesale shopping with TBTS and Clara quite awhile back, and I'm really glad to say that i went home a happy and satisfied girl that day. Didn't manage to buy everything i had on my list, but i felt it was good enough. Since its wholesale shopping, TBTS and i ended up with many pieces of similar clothing (laughs) so we'll have to organise what we wear when we go out together so we won't clash LOL. Just some pictures of the loots and OOTDs here.

We went shopping at City Plaza, and most of the stuffs (if not all) that we got were bought at level 3. I spent an average of probably $15/piece?

Sexy Look Duo Lifting Mask (Red Wine x Platinum)

Sponsored Review
Feeling that your skin is lacking intensity, or noticed that your jawline is no longer as defined?

Then boy, do i have the products to rescue your aging skin!

Really loving the girls at Lush Group too because they also just sent me a couple of boxes of masks to review. They're from Sexylook,

and is Taiwan's best selling 3D Duo Lifting Mask!

I was sponsored with the Red Wine x Platinum

and Aloe Vera x Q10 ones to try out.

Similar to how the Love More masks works,

Open up the packet

Essence filled goodness!
Unfold the mask.
The mask is of a thinner, finer, and smoother material than the Love More ones, but it holds up the essence really well!

Light liquidy essence flowing down!
Lay the mask on your face

Pull the earhooks over your ear

Fit the mask properly

Pull up the neck piece's earhooks over your ear

It should then look something like this

You can massage your face while the mask is on to increase blood circulation and allow the essence to be absorbed more quickly!

I really liked that the fit of the mask was really really good. Even better than the Love More ones! It adhered to my skin really nicely, and even fit into the contours of my nose! (Please pardon my siao zabor hair)

Red Wine x Platinum (Also known as the Back To Youth 3D Mask)

Contains phenols, vitamin C, and many healthy nutrients and antioxidant to enhance the skin's elasticity and firmness with flexibility. This 3D Lifting Mask with ear hooks fights against gravity and lift up the skin at your neck, mouth cheek and eyes areas.

See how the main component of the mask is rose water? No wonder the mask smelled so good! And since collagen is 4th on the list, I'm guessing there's plenty of it too. However, since it contains perfume, it won't be that great for people with really sensitive skin.
What i liked about it was that my skin did in fact feel a lot better than it did before the mask : smoother, brighter, firmer, and more hydrated. The mask comes packed in a packet filled with essence and when you squeeze the mask, you can immediately see the amount of essence that flows out. The essence is really light and clear, in between a gel-y and watery consistency (which is just perfect. Not too thick, nor too thin) and smells really good. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and when you wet your face the following morning, there is no residue from the mask (which is a sign that the essence is fully absorbed into your skin)

Essence: 5/5
I can't express how much i love the essence. It smelled great, it worked great, and it absorbs really well into the skin. I really enjoyed the scent of the mask. It was not as sweet as Love More's, and was really soft and soothing.

Fit/cutting of mask: 5/5
The mask fit my face really well, and stuck down to the contours of my face!

Material of mask: 5/5
I liked this material a lot. It was thin, but it managed to absorb a great amount of the essence! The mask is really fine and smooth too, and it felt wonderful on my skin.

Packaging: 3/5
I'm sorry to say this, but this is definitely something that i would easily pass up on if i didn't do my research and buy it based on packaging. The packing is really simple and minimal, but i would definitely prefer something cute like Love More's.

Effect of the mask: 4/5
The mask did a really good job of tightening, brightening, and hydrating. However, just like all firming products, maintenance is is required. The effects don't last for long (around 3 days?) but its good enough.

Affordability: 5/5
Going at only $8.80 for a box of 5 (introductory price of $7.90, but i'm not too sure whether its over yet), this is definitely something i can afford to keep on repurchasing!

Overall: 4.5/5
Now that i've tried it, I'm proud to say this is something i will definitely repurchase and it has taken the top spot and is now my favourite mask! I can't wait to try out the other ones (and post the review on the aloe vera x Q10 one) and i've already gotten my eyes on the super whitening one hehe.

Shills Moisturising And Whitening Cold Gel Mask

Monday, July 11, 2011
Sponsored Review
Previously when i went for Shill x Judy Lin's beauty talk, we were given a goodie bag with two items of our choice. I've previously reviewed the Black Gel Deep Sebum Softener, so here's my review for something that can benefit people within a wider age range (since it also makes your skin more supple).

Shill's Moisturising and Whitening Cold Gel Mask.

I always feel that no matter how great your skin is, or how fair you are, an important factor in making your skin look healthy and give you that really natural glow is how bright your skin is. Even if you are fair, your skin might not be bright and is dull instead. Vice versa for if you have a darker or tanned skin tone.
Just like how Fair =/= Bright, Tanned =/= Dull skin tone either. Exactly the reason why i chose this whitening mask. It felt to me like it can deliver and give me not only a fairer complexion, but a brighter one too! Plus, the "cold" part was too tempting to refuse in the oven that is Singapore.

When we're under the sun, we're not the only ones that get dehydrated! Our skin gets its moisture sapped out too. Therefore it is really important to hydrate your skin regularly with good masks.

I really liked that it was recently manufactured and has a good shelf life of 3 years!

When you open up the box, you get greeted by a cardboard "holder" with a small tab for you to lift it up.

It's a pretty good size of 150ml which can last for quite a while. Also, the description (:.

At the base of the product, there is the manufacture and expiry date too. Notice that holographic sticker? It lets you know that you're buying the authentic product!

What a big tub!

When you first twist open the cap, you'll see a clear plastic and i really like it because it prevents the mask from sticking to the cap and it also makes the mask feel more hygienic that way.

I feel its alright using clean fingers to scoop the mask out. Just don't DIG your fingers into the mask.

This was a candid my camera took of me (i was using smile detector) while i was scooping the mask out haha.

Scoop an adequate amount for your whole face, and apply it onto your face using your fingers.

The gel mask didn't have much of a scent, and has the same appearance (except the bubbles) and texture (but lighter) as hair gel!! It didn't have much of a scent to me though.

Then leave the mask on for 15~20 minutes..

My say:
The mask didn't have much of a scent, but i really liked that it had a really cool sensation on my skin. (For those of you who like your masks cold, you can put it in the fridge beforehand and use it on your skin, whether heated or sunburned. If you're like me and don't want to put the whole tub into the fridge, you can scoop some using a clean plastic spoon, cover it with aluminum foil or cling wrap and pop in into your fridge for one time use^^). The whitening wasn't very apparent, but i could see that my skin was brighter for a temporary period of time(probably 2~3 days?). However, my skin did feel supple-er after use.

Packaging 4/5
Cute dome packaging. I really like that it's white because it feels more like a whitening product that way haha. However, it might be a little bulky to bring about.

Scent 4/5
I didn't detect much of a scent, but its quite weird for a gel (to me). However, this will be good for people with sensitive skin then.

Price 3.5/5
Since this is more suited for ladies from 20+ (which means OLs and working women) the price is $28.50 for 150ml. Not very affordable for students.

Whitening 3.5/5
Doesn't really whiten (might be that i have to use it for longer) but it does a pretty good job in brightening and closing up my pores.

Supple-ness 4.5/5
Skin does feel more supple after use. However, it might not be very apparent on my since I am only 17 this year.

Hydration: 5/5
Skin feels really soft and hydrated after use!

Application 4/5
Quite a simple application, and it is quite easy since the gel is quite solid and won't leak through your fingers like mask sheets' essence would.

Removal 2.5/5
Since it's gel, it takes quite a while for you to wash it off from your face. I recommend you using a wet towel to wipe off some of the thick layer of gel before washing it off your face.

Overall 3.5/5
An okay investment. Will try it for longer before deciding whether or not its worth the repurchase. However, this is a very good solution for those who want to cool their sunburned skin as it has the consistency of aloe vera gel.
