My Hada Labo Skincare Routine

Saturday, August 4, 2012
Hey girls! Today I'm going to share with you all one of my favourite skincare range/brand which will definitely be no stranger to you guys - Hada Labo. Here is my existing range of Hada Labo skincare products (forgot to include the UV Milk), and my current Hada Labo skincare routine.
I've been a big fan of Hada Labo ever since last year when I first tried it out, and have since featured it in a few of my blog posts previously. (August Favourites, September Favourites, October Favourites, and have done product reviews for the Cleansing Oil as well as their UV Milk). Spot the products with the "*new*" tag? Read on and find out more about them!

For normal days, I jump straight into using the cleanser but on days when I have my makeup on, my first step would be to remove it with the cleansing oil. After cleansing, my face still feels supple and moist, not tight nor dry. The range is able to keep my skin well hydrated - with only a small price tag. Uber loves!

The following step would be to rehydrate the skin, with the hydrating lotion. I've been using the old bottle for so long (but not daily) and so far have only been through 1/2 a bottle! A little drop is all that you need for each application, which makes this last for a really long time!

You might be wondering why I labelled it as a "new" product when it's been in the market for so long, right? Well, the lotion that I love now has a new nano formula, which  not only reaches deeper into the layers of the skin, but also absorbs even more quickly than the old formula.
I especially like it for it's light and watery texture, and that it leaves the skin soooo smooth after application.
Not only that, the rate of sale has doubled! Going from 1 bottle every 4 seconds to 1 bottle every 2 seconds!
"The new ‘nano’ hyaluronic acid molecule is 1/20 the size of the normal hyaluronic acid’s. This enables penetration to areas deep within the skin. The other two hyaluronic acid, ‘Normal’ and ‘Super’ hydrate skin closer to the surface."

*The new nano formula SHA lotion was sent to me for consideration for reviewing.

On days when the weather is drier, I will amp up the moisture level with an additional layer of moisturiser - which i feel is not usually needed since the hydrating lotion keeps my skin hydrated enough, and I don't want to over-nourish my skin because I have oily skin.
The cream is light too, and really nourishing so unless you have dry skin i would recommend that you go easy on this product. I absorbs moderately well, and does not leave a sticky or oily feeling. My only complaint will be that it is in a tub form, so I'll have to use a spatula to scoop it out and it is less hygenic. On the other hand, the tub makes it so that we can get to the very last scoop of the product, and the tub can be reused in the future.

After that, I end my routine with a new product - The Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Eye Cream.
Yay for pumps! Banzai!
The eye cream has a texture that is similar to that of the moisturizer, and trust me when I say a little goes a long way. I barely sqeeze out a pearl size amount for both eyes (just a light tap on the pump) - and that is more than enough for the under-eye area, crow's feet area, and eyelid area. Go full pump at your own risk lol. The eye cream contains 3 types of Hyaluronic Acids (normal, super, and nano) to moisturize deeply and thoroughlly, ACTIFLOW to increase blood circulation to lighten dark circles and puffiness, as well as Jojoba Oil to smoothen fine lines. Retails $21.90 for 15g.

I've been using this range of products for nearly a year now and they have never shown any adverse effects on my skin, only good results - and they're easily available and not that expensive. This is NOT AN AD, and other than the otherwise disclaimed products, the rest of the products were bought by myself. I'm sharing this since I have quite a few people asking me about my skincare routine, and this is the only consistent routine that I use on a regular basis (since i'm trying out a lot of new products).

  1. hi jamie, thanks for sharing this, though its a really old post of yours.. i just want to ask, could you share your usual skincare? do you use other skin products? :) also, is there a criteria you go by to decide if a product suits you to buy a full sized product after using its sample? :)

  2. Hi Tiffany. This is roughly my current regime now! http://jamietyj.blogspot.sg/2013/02/my-drx-journey-part-i-consultation.html
I will see if the product suits my skin first, and if it does feel good I might end up purchasing the full sized.
