Be Discovered for a Brighter, Whiter Smile (with Darlie All Shiny White)

Have you been seeing this TVC on the television lately?

Oral hygiene is no longer just about having no bad breath! In the age where appearance means nearly everything, having white teeth is also just as important.
I feel that a person's smile is something that draws me in - also one of the reason i subjected myself to the tortures of braces - but I shan't digress.

Darlie (one of the well know brands in Singapore) has launched a new range of toothpaste, Darlie All Shiny White  - that promises whiter teeth in 14 days! A mere 2 weeks to a whiter, brighter smile~ I was sponsored with the products to try out and what first caught my attention was the different varieties they had. All the products in this range contains SWA (Speedy Whitening Agent, which I will share more about on as the post progresses) which basically supports the promise of whiter teeth in 14 days.
Darlie All Shiny White (Regular) toothpaste
Darlie All Shiny White (Lime Mint)
Darlie All Shiny (Apple Mint)
Darlie All Shiny (Enamel Care)
Darlie All Shiny White (Mineral Salt)

One of the highlight of the range is the Enamel Care, which basically (as obvious as it is,) protects your enamel.

"Tooth erosion affects the entire surface of the tooth. In time, tooth erosion can cause thinned enamel, and eventually can expose the softer dentine underneath the enamel. The enamel is a tissue covering the surface of the tooth crown and is the hardest, most highly mineralized substance in the human body. Functional enamel helps to absorb pressure of biting and chewing, protects the teeth inner structure and is essential for a beautiful smile. Dentine is sensitive so erosion can lead to your teeth being more sensitive to hot, cold or sweet foods and drinks."
Sadly, I am one of those people that are suffering from tooth erosion ):. I like to eat sour food (it's acid probably caused the erosion) and over time i realised that my teeth are more sensitive to cold food than they were before! Enamel Care's promise- " multi-benefit formula combines whitening power and enamel protection to strengthen teeth through re-mineralisation while 50 million of SWA (Speedy Whitening Agent) whitening molecules work to remove surface stains effectively."

Darlie All Shiny White is Singapore’s No. 1 Whitening Toothpaste offering 5 variants – Lime Mint, Apple Mint, Enamel Care, All Shiny White (Regular) & Mineral Salt – is available at all supermarkets, hypermarkets and medical pharmacies at a recommended retail price of $3.15.

Get a tube of Darlie, load it up on your brush and see a difference in your smile! (:

Hey girls! Sorry for the long hiatus, haven't been inspired to write lately so I've just left my pictures and posts piling up! Will try to clear them over the next few days so that I can have more free time with the boy during his block leave coming up next week :D.

I will also like to take a little time to thank you guys for your votes for the Sasatinnie 34th Anniversary Celebratory Look contest because I've been informed that I've emerged as the winner! Hope you girls are also able to win some stuff for yourself~

I know I have a lot of posts to catch up on, so please bear with me and wait a little long for any reviews I've previously promised, or any stuff I've expressed that are sponsored for me to review~ Today's post is going to be on my new hair colour! This time i got it done by my hair sponsor - Shunji Matsuo @ 313.

Goodbye black roots!!

I wanted a darker colour because blondish colours seem to wash me out and i felt that darker colours complimented my skin tone better. Tsuriki previously dyed a pink brown colour which i thought looked really good, but the salon didn't have pink dye, only purple - So i went with purple brown instead. It's not acutally purple, but brown with purpleish undertones. The dye itself actually looked purple though!

Say hello to my freshly dyed hair~

I liked that Caely really took her time to do my hair slowly, making sure each and every strand of hair was coated with the dye. She was quick to give me suggestions with the dye and was so gentle with my hair! My hair was definitely in good hands :).

After the dye, I also got an Arimino Caretrico treatment done there.
Arimino Caretrico is a specially personalized treatment that is formulated to suit and treat individual hair conditions, repairing damaged hair conditions such as dry and brittle hair, frizzy hair or fine hair. Providing deep moisturization and nutrients for hair, it delivers a smooth shine and finish in the restoration of healthy, soft and shiny hair.
(From www.shunjimatsuo313.com.sg)

My hair was first sprayed with this (Step 1) to prep my hair for the treatment.

Following that, Step 2 got pumped into the treatment to give it a boost in damage repair and rehydrating the hair.

For optimal absorption, my hair was steamed to allow the hair folicles to open up to "reveive the nutrients".
After the steaming, I got my hair rinsed in cold water to ensure that all that goodness is locked in. My hair was soooo smooth after the treatment i couldn't help but keep running my fingers through my hair.

Left the salon with gorgeous looking hair!

After i permed my hair, I noticed that my hair has the tendency to tangle much more than before i permed it. After the treatment, I realised that my hair stoped getting tangled during shampooing and I was over the top!
Caely also passed me a few products so that i can maintain my hair colour, and I have been loving the products so much! Will definitely let you guys know what it is when I take pictures of them, and possibly a review as well (:.

The camera with a Twist - Casio Exilim TR150

Hey hey hey girls (and guys)! If you're following me on Twitter, you'd have seen my tweets regarding the #CasioSG #ExilimTR150 camera that I picked up on the 4th to review!
(I was so bummed that the only colour available for us was White, but honestly it looks pretty decent! Definitely a looker, no matter what colour it is)

As compared to my current camera, I feel that the TR150 is extremely light and slim (the size of it is nearly identical to that on an iPhone 4/4s) and it makes self shots a whole lot easier without having to compromise for camera quality. (Y'know how phone's front cameras are always of lousy quality?). Not only does the camera capture shots up to 12.1megapixels, it also records videos in Full HD (1080px). For ones that love experimenting with their camera, this also has HDR, HDR Art, and panorama mode.

Comes in White, Pink, Red (which seems to look amazingly like hot pink), and retails for $449.

I've been trying out the camera for the pass few days) and I am IN LOVE (especially with the makeup mode. Here are some pictures I have taken to show you guys! (I was not even wearing an ounce of makeup in the last picture! Gotta love makeup mode!!)

I have yet to try out the other functions, but I will in due time and include more details on the camera in my upcoming review, so you guys can stay tuned for it. One of my favourite features of the camera is actually the frame, because it allows me to fixate the camera where ever i want without having the need for a stand. Another function is the motion sensor, which allows me to snap pictures without having to touch the camera (super convenient for mask reviews!) so you all can learn about that shortly (;.

Want to get your hands on one of this?
Like Casio Exilim Singapore and tell them why you deserve to win the TR150 in less than 250 words. Contest starts 9 April and there are 2 of these babies to be won!
a) 1 x TR150 for participation (based on Casio's judge 60%, votes 40%)
b) 1 x TR150 for voter (based on random selection)
For more information on the contest/voting process, check out Casio Exilim Singapore's Facebook page starting 9 April! (:

Sasa: 34th Anniversary Celebrating Beauty

Saturday, April 7, 2012
Hey girls! Back with a quick tutorial and to share with all of you lovelies some great promotions as well as a chance to snag up one of 10 $100 Sasa hampers. Read on to find out more (:.

In conjunction with their 34th Anniversary, Sasa has launched a photo competition for bloggers to create looks using Sasatinnie products! I'm one of the bloggers selected to take part in this contest.

I was sent the following Sasatinnie products (exclusively available at Sasa since this is their house brand!) to aid in creating my "Sasatinnie look".

Colours labelled for easy visualisation for the tutorial! Here are the products used for the entire look. My look was more about the eyes (the colours aren't very prominent because I have little lid space and they are slightly hooded) so I'll only very briefly go through the rest of the face.

Highlighter on the top of the cheek bones, mixed the other 2 blushers for the blush colour on the apples of the cheeks, then blending the colour upwards along the cheek bones.

I used the soft pink colour on the left for my lips.

For the eyes:

A quick tutorial with visualisation!

Apply shadow B all over eyelids, then apply shadow C to cover 1/2 to 2/3 or the eyelid from the back of the eyelid. Following that, apply shadow D onto the outer most 1/2 or 1/3 of the eyelid. Use any dark brown eyeshadow for the small V or O shape right at the corner of the eyes. After that, blend the pink onto the outer V of the eyelid, and blend the edges out and the end into the brown. Apply the burgandy liner and use the black liner to elongate the eyes starting from the outer half. Apply false lashes (I’m using Dollywink No.2). Key thing for the look to look natural: Blend blend blend!

Apply shadow A in the inner corner to highlight, and the apply colour B to the first half of the lower eyelid starting from the inner corner. Apply shadow C to the middle 1/3 of the lower eyelid, and use the pink eyeshadow for the outermost corner. Blend the pink until it meets with the brown on the top lid. Apply false lashes (Dollywink No.14)

Here's my end look! You can vote for my look DAILYhere, or just click the picture below. (do note you'll have to allow the app and it will prompt you to like Sasa's Facebook page if you haven't already)

Here's how you can stand a chance to win the $100 Sasa hampers! Just vote for my look and comment on why you like the look to be eligible! If I win, 10 lucky commenters that voted for me will get to each win a $100 Sasa hamper!!

Watsons x Blackmore's Health & Beauty Workshop

Tuesday, April 3, 2012
With the advance in the different technologies, achieving beautiful and radiant skin is no longer solely attainable with skincare or makeup. I'm sure there are many beauty junkies that are looking into the different beauty supplements as well. One of these supplements are like the Life Nutrition ones I've mentioned previously, which not only aids in health, but also has benefits to your skin.

I was invited to attend the Health and Beauty workshop held by Watsons and Blackmore at Cookyn Inc with a few other fellow bloggers. I met with Irene before that and we headed over together (:.

Presenter of the day: Monitar (I hope i didn't get the spelling wrong!)

Little snack during the presentation

After the presentation, we got to cook our own healthy meal! Apart from those food that we made, we also got to enjoy the food prepared for us by the staff at Cookyn Inc, which were delish!

Tiph, Kiyora, and Verlyn!

After the hands-on cooking session, we sat down to enjoy the wonderful meal that awaited us, lol!

We each got to take home 2 month's worth (2 boxes) of Blackmore's Radiance Supplement to try out. I've just started on the supplement, and I failed after day 3 (LOL) so I am restarting it soon! It's best to be consumed after meals, one of the day and one of the night pill to be taken daily. (If you forget to take the day pill, you can always take it at night with the night pill since they contain different ingredients, there is a lower chance of overdosage). Of course, don't expect immediate results, it is said to take a good 1 month before any visible results can be seen. The only thing I dislike about the pill is that, apart from being quite big (which will make it hard for some to swallow), the smell of the capsule is quite strong as well. Not that I can taste it, but the smell gets to me sometimes.
Each box contains 56 capsules (approx. 4 week supply, 28 for day and 28 for night) and the supplement will be available at Watsons and leading pharmacies and will retail at $123/box.

Picture shows contents of one box.
