I'm sure you guys already know I'm a firm believer in using beauty tools to help achieve better results in skincare. Today, I'm here to share my thoughts and review on a couple of new products I've been trying out (and really loving). If you haven't seen a brief introduction to my thoughts on it, here's my YouTube video on it.
First up, let me talk about the Dual Cleanser.
Unlike other cleansing devices I've used before, this is the sleekest-looking one by far. I can't wait to display it on my vanity when I get my own house in the future. It is also able to operate on 2 different cleaning modes (between a rotation motion and a micro-vibration) based on the type of head attached for the best results. I like that this device "speaks" to you (as shown in my YouTube video) and lets you know when to move to a different area of your face (and how long you should be cleansing each area) so that you can use this absent-mindedly regardless of how tired you am.
The Dual Cleanser is also great for travel because of how regular the shape is. Plus, a single charge can last up to 3 months! I'm definitely bringing it along for my upcoming trips.
The 70 seconds cleaning cycle goes like this: Left Cheek, Right Cheek, Nose, Chin, Forehead. You can also pick from 2 different levels of cleansing strength to customise every cleansing session.
Personally, I use the silicon head for mornings and the brush head for nights.
The brush head allows for a deeper cleanse which is perfect after a long day out and from wearing makeup and the likes. Both cleanser heads are very gentle on the skin so it's great even for those of you who may have sensitive skin. They work very well to dislodge any dirt and sebum trapped within the pores!
After using the dual cleanser, I will follow up with my skincare as per normal. It isn't too harsh on the skin so I can use my acid products without my skin getting over-exfoliated or too sensitive. A new addition I've also added into my routine is the Pra.L Derma LED Mask.
With 160 IR and LED lights, the Pro.L Derma LED Mask not only helps with anti-aging, but also pigmentation and pore size issues. This technology is also used in many spas and aesthetic clinics so I know it is something that is effective. I wasn't sure whether it is placebo, but I personally could feel that my skin looks brighter immediately after using it, but of course the best results will come with longer continued usage.
One of the little detail I really liked about the Derma LED Mask is that besides also "speaking" to you (in the same way the Dual Cleanser does but in 3 minutes intervals), the mask is also mostly "wireless". It only attaches to the remote that also doubles as the power source to the mask and it makes it so easy to move around with the mask on. The interior is also padded around your eye and nose area so it was extremely comfortable to wear, just like a pair of sunglasses, so you can go about hands free!
The one-way transparent-mirror eye area also allows you to retain your vision field while being protected from the lights. You can look out, but no one can see your eyes! For me, this made it perfect for using my phone while I have the Derma LED Mask on.
If you're someone who prefers to relax instead, the mask allows me to lay down comfortably without any obstruction.
LG's Pra.L System is now available at Tangs. There are some ongoing promotions for the month of October for the entire Pra.L range, so do check it out!
