Sponsored Review

Thanks to The Sample Store and Lip Ice, i was sponsored with these two brand new lip balms from Mentholaum Lip Ice to review!

They were just lauched awhile back and if i'm not wrong, the first of it's kind (lipbalm that changes colour), so don't be too surprised if you've never seen them before.

The range consists of 3 different Lipbalms, which includes Strawberry, Shimmer, and Fragrance-Free (I was sponsored with both Strawberry and Shimmer)

Tranform your lips to a natural shade of beautiful pink
Goes on clear, then changes to a subtle pink that enhances the natural beauty of your lips.

Enhanced with natural BEESWAX formula

Natural ingredients
Shea Butter, Macadamia Ternifolia Nut Oil, Jojoba Oil and Aloe Vera Extract
to keep lips moisturized, smooth and healthy

Effective Anti-oxidantVitamin E to soften and protect lips against the harmful environment

As told to us in the bloggers' release. As we all know, Shea butter, Beeswax, Jojoba oil and Aloe Vera are very nourishing ingredients. They will keep your lips moisturised and you can say "goodbye" to those dreadful appearance of dried skin on your lips. The colour differs for each individual so you can have a colour that is truely unique to you!

Shimmer

Strawberry

As you can see, there are some differences in the ingredients of the two lipbalms.

However, in terms of appearance, the lipbalms are actually quite hard to tell apart!

See how similar they look?

The way to tell them apart is to look at the sticker on the bottom!

However, when you open it up, you can definitely tell the two apart. Shimmer contains bits of shimmer (obviously) and is slightly pinkier, whereas Strawberry seems clear on the stick (don't be fooled by it.. and you'll know why as you read on).

*random picture my smile detector took.. AGAIN. I can make a collage of these pictures, i swear*

Fail pose. Who the hell uses lipbalms like that! Thankfully, its blur!

Strawberry:

After about 15 seconds, my lips turned into a nice pink-ish shade. It looks really rosy and my lips were glossy and moisturised! I liked that it didn't have the sticky feel of lipglosses, but gave the same amount of shine!

Shimmer:

As compared to Strawberry, the colour is lighter and more toned down. Even over time, the colour does not come out as strong as Strawberry's. Also, the bits of shimmer are really subtle. (melikes). Same application tips apply for this as the Strawberry's!

For both lip balms:
Be careful as you do not want to apply alot of layers of the lipbalm as the colour DOES STAIN and gets BRIGHTER with time. So my tip is for you to, apply one thin layer and wait about 30minutes. If you want a stronger colour then, apply one more layer.

Lip Ice Sheer Colours is available at Watsons and retails for $7.50 each. After purchasing your lipbalm, you can take part in The Lip Ice Beautiful Lips Contest and the top 3 winners walk away with an MP4 each!

*disclaimer: No pictures in this post were digitally touched up besides the two pictures of my lips. (I blurred out the area surrounding my lips).
