Here's the review for the 3rd product i was sponsored with by Ginvera (whose sub-brand is Amethystory)
Amethystory's Mineral Aqua Gel!
Since the main point of the product is to get rid of dead skin, i decided to use it on the part of my body with the most dead skin.... my feet!!
No colouring, no fragrance, this gentle formula is specially blended with Amethyst, Hyaluronic Acid & Bio Energy Fluid to help enhance the removal of dead, dry & rough skin & promote skin rejuvenation. After removing the dead skin layers that form a barrier, your skin would be in a optimal condition to absorb skincare nutrients!
Instant results after use: skin feels fairer, more hydrated, and clearer. Make up can glide on easier & more lasting with a natural look.
Use the Amethystory Mineral Aqua Gel as a more natural way to improve your
complexion!
Efficacies of the active ingredients:
Amethyst
- Helps enhance skin rejuvenation resulting in smoother and more supple skin
- Helps improve skin complexion and skin tone
- Provides energizing skin effect for a more radiant & youthful look
Hyaluronic Acid
- Provides intense hydration & retains water in your skin for a youthful & supple look
- Supports the formation and maintenance of collagen for supple and elastic skin
Bio Energy Fluid
- Provides ample mineral & trace mineral elements to nourish skin cells and effectively rejuvenate skin and keep skin hydrated
- Helps balance oil secretion
Directions:
Apply on skin to remove dead skin layers. Use daily on dry skin with dry finger. Pump a sufficient amount and gently massage in circular motion for around 1 minute. White flakes that appear are the dead skin cells being removed. Rinse off with water or Amethystory Mineral Purify Facial Cleanser after use. Can be used for face & other parts of body.
My feet are really badly maintained, so I wouldn't be surprised if you guys were grossed out by the following images. Don't stop reading my blog after this okay T_T.
Here comes... the horrifying BEFORE picture of my big toe!!
So... I dispensed some of Amethystory's Mineral Aqua Gel to gently exfoliate it.
The Mineral Aqua Gel is a milky liquid. Too liquidy for my liking since i noticed that it kept dripping.
White particles appeared as I massaged it. This is the 'dead skin' that's removed from my skin!
After!
Now on my heel!
Before
Skin feels soft and tender, and the amount of dead skin did reduce!
Packaging: 5/5
It's a thin purple bottle with a pump (and clip). What's not to love?
Texture: 3.5/5
The liquidy texture makes it easier for me to glide it onto my skin to remove dead skin, but it is really drip-y and in general, too liquidy for my liking.
Effectiveness: 4.5/5
It did remove my dead skin not only on my face, but also on my body (can use it on your knees and elbows too!) which leaves it soft and smooth.
After-feel: 3/5
The only thing i didn't like about the after-feel is that it feels weird. Not dry, but a little oily. Somewhat like drying-but-oily feel. Sounds weird aye??
Pricing: 3.5/5
Initially i wanted to give it a 2.5 because it costs $24.90 for 150ml (which is more expensive than Cure which costs $42 for 400ml, and Detclear which is $21.90 for 180ml). However, this comes in a smaller bottle which means that unlike Cure, you do not have to commit to a whole 400ml before trying other products or changing to other products.
Ease of use: 3.5/5
Unlike Detclear or Cure which you can just wash off with water, this product actually requires you to use a cleaner/soap to get rid of the after-feel that i didn't really like.
Overall: 3.5/5
A good try, and this might be what I'll repurchase if my favourite one is OOS. This still doesn't take the top spot from my favourite Detclear. I was actually expecting more from this, because this was supposed to be the star product. However, I was quite disappointed. That being said, you can always give it a try and see if you like it by redeeming a free sample here: https://www.facebook.com/
The concept is similar to Cure ya? If you've tried that before, gow dyou think they compare?

@Seri
ReplyDeleteYup, same concept of exfoliating gel. Hmm, i didn't really try cure before cause it was too big a bottle for me to commit to :/.
