I previously blogged about Maybelline's upcoming launches in Nov/Dec and one of the products was The Falsies mascara. It is now launched in Watsons (the Colour Sensational Lipsticks as well) and here's a review for it!
The mascara came in a chunky (same size as the volume express [yellow/red packaging]) purple tube with turqoise font.
The Falsies Mascara is specially formulated to give Asian eyes FIVE times more volume by combining a trusty want with a potent potion (yes, MAGIC). The exclusive Spoon Curler Brush is designed to fan out every single lash while ensuring generous product application to create a better press and curl. The brush thus maximises volume, leaving lashes with a graceful arch and sultry over-the-top look.
A concoction of gel matrix, a multiwax blend and polymer is used to lift and curl lashes, while ceramides and panthenol are brought to make lashes stronger, smoother, and thicker. The formula is enriched with pro-keratin (a protein known for its ability to strengthen and thicken lashes) to fill every gap along the lash line, making everyday false lash galm a piece of cake.
The cherry on top of the cake is that the mascara is waterproof and is able to withstand raindrops and teary eyes, so that your lashes are beautiful throughout the day where ever you may be!

I really liked the packaging and the colour of it, but i felt that the bottle was a little chunky. Not much of a hassle for me since i usually put them in my makeup pouch.
Wand design: 5/5
The design of the wand was such that there was a cruved side (to fit the cotour of your eyes) and a flatter side. It's exclusive spoon curler brush really does fan out every single lash.
Product efficiency: 4.5/5
I really liked that the product was waterproof, and that it did manage to lengthen and thicken my lashes a fair bit. I really looooved how it held my curls well as well! The only down side was that since i tend to have slightly oiler lids, the mascara on my bottom lashes do tend to ''print' onto my bottom eyelid. It also removes easily, so that's not much of a problem.
Price: 4/5
As compared to the US, the price of this mascara is indeed a tad expensive. However, with that being said, this ($20.90) is actually a pretty average price for the drugstore mascaras in Singapore.

For those who want more natural-looking impact on their lashes without going OTT or those who want more dramatic lashes but don't know how to put on fake lashes, this might be the mascara for you. The impact of the mascara is buildable and will be perfect for girls who want more to their lashes (i sometimes also build this on top of lengthening mascaras as well to get both longer and thicker).
They say that the eyes are the windows to your soul, why not try to beautify the windows and grab the attention of everyone passing by?

ReplyDeleteNope, it doesn't flake at all! But it does smudge onto my bottom lid a little since i have slightly oily lids. Removed easily with makeup remover as well (:
