Hey babes! A while ago, I received a package of CandyDoll products for me to review! (Keep reading till the end to find out how you can get some CandyDoll samples for you to try out.)

I will be slowly posting them up as the month progresses, but today is going to be a review of the CandyDoll Lipstick in Ramune Pink and the CandyDoll Lipgloss in Cotton Candy (which is one of the 2 newly launched lipgloss colours) which I was told goes very well together.

First things first, I absolutely love the packaging. It's simplistic yet girly with the minimalist strips and cursive font. The black makes the product look that bit sleeker and gives it a cleaner look (I hate products that have white packaging because every single stain is so obvious!) I have seen Himeko's collection of CandyDoll products so I know that the products are packaged really beautifully.

I have actually been using them every time I do my lips ever since I got the package simply because I love the look it gives and the two products are amazing : together or on their own.
The coverage of the lipstick is so amazing such that I find that there is actually no need for me to conceal my lip colour prior to using the lipstick. It is creamy and spreads on the lips well, and stays on relatively well too. The lipstick has a rather matte finish (matte for mine because i work the colour into my lips using my fingers in layers) but is not drying on the lips at all. The only thing about this is that the colour shows off a little different as compared to what you'd see on the stick, so your best bet would be to look at the top right part of the packaging. (As you can see, it looks rather beigey on the stick but it is actually a pinkier colour)

The lipgloss is simply wonderful. This is one of the very best lip gloss I have ever used simply because it is super moisturizing - without being overly sticky or oily. I have tried lip glosses that seem to work very well at the start, but as the day progresses causes my lips to flake - and let me tell you : flaky lips with lipgloss is NOT a nice sight (or feel). The lipgloss is a tad bit sticky but it doesn't bother me at all. The gloss is actually quite sheer, but the pigmentation is rather buildable.

"The CandyDoll Lip Gloss Cotton Candy keep your lips moist. It gives you a pastel pink pearl-like lips finishing. Recommended to use with CandyDoll Ramune Pink lipstick for a fluffy Cotton Candy dolly look!"

It has a slanted applicator that has a thin tip, which is all good since we get more precision with it to fill up the lips and shape the lips nicely. It picks up a good amount of product and the applicator feels smooth on the lips.

Here's a swatch of the lipstick and the lip gloss, and the lipgloss over the lipstick.
As you can see, the colours are paler on its own but they are paired together it intensifies. The lipgloss contains small hints of shimmer and makes my lips look a whole lot fuller than they are! Here's how it looks like on my lips when paired together.
Even though it looks like the colour sinks into my lips, trust me when i say that it is really not noticeable! It actually gives a very overall-y sweet colour and makes the lips fuller, for that pouty lip look - effortlessly~

These 2 products are definitely on my holygrail list, I can't wait to go check out the counters and see what other colours and CandyDoll products there are! CandyDoll products are exclusively available in major Watsons (think Ngee Ann City/Bugis).
