Hey guys! I just went on a cruise trip recently so now I'm back and ready to jump out of my blogging slump and bring you guys and girls more reviews! I took the chance to take pictures and test out many different products so keep your eyes peeled for the reviews coming up within this few days/weeks. This time round it's going to be the 'proper' (but not as formal and technical, more of a casual user's POV) review of the camera I'm using for my camwhore shots - Casio's Exilim TR150. You'll notice many of the pictures are taken from when I'm on the cruise, and some from other occasions where I was using the camera.
I've previously blogged about the introduction to this camera, so check it out here if you want to do so before reading on the rest of this post.

The Exilim TR150, with the tag line "Ultimate Photo Experience" really lives up to it's name. You'll soon find out why I am loving this camera so much. Its features and quality aside, the slim and lightweight appearance of the camera is enough to win me over (not to mention that it comes in Pink and Red [which looks like hot pink] as well). It's no heavier (nor bigger or thicker) than an iPhone 4, which makes it optimal for camwhoring! Who wants to be camwhoring with such bulky and heavy cameras all the time??

Flawless skin, checked!

Being a camera that is created to target those who love to take self shots aka camwhore, my favouriteeeeeeee feature is definitely the Makeup Mode. With 12 different levels of intensity, the makeup mode gives the appearance of flawless skin (and i think slightly bigger eyes, not too sure on this though) without losing the details. My EX1 has a beauty mode as well but I notice that the details on my skin does get lost in this mode.

It even makes my hair look good!

One of the cons is that for the makeup mode to work, you have to make sure that your face is detected and focused by the camera. So one tip is to face the camera front on, and slowly move your camera to the angle you desire.
It is able to detect multiple faces in a shot and thanks to it's 21mm wide angle lens, it's able to fit more people into one picture! Look how many of us were able to fit into the shot - with space to spare!

Ladies will love this camera even more when they hear (or read) this : The almost-fully touch-screen camera's touch screen actually works better with fingernails! It does get quite annoying to have long nails and use my iPod Touch or iPhone and i always end up typing the wrong words or selecting the wrong things. However, those who don't like having long fingernails need not hate on the touch screen - the camera comes with a stylus that you can use to navigate the touch screen with. But with this comes another con - that the screen (since it's fully touch screen) does get fingerprint marks easily.

The screen of the camera twists to 270 degrees, which is suitable for self shots and low/high angle shots as well. Also, the frame doubles as a stand/hook so that fixating your camera will be a breeze. One interesting mode is the motion shutter mode which allows you to fixate a spot which, when in contact with on the sensor, will trigger the shutter to take the picture - without having to touch the camera at all!
(Pictures of Tsuriki and I camwhoring with this function in the toilet before Clara's wedding!)

The camera takes videos in FullHD mode, so vloggers can use this as well! Not only that - have fun with your videos with the slow-motion playback function~
A step up from the previous version of this camera is HDR Art Mode. With 3 different levels of intensity, you can now make your ordinary shots into "artsy" shots!

Premium Auto mode automatically detects the scene type and changes the settings to best suit the setting that you are taking the picture in. I was taking a picture of the sunset on one of the days and the scene automatically detected was "Scenery + Greenery"!!! This was also one of the Premium Auto mode pictures!

Last but not least, one of the fun features: Picture on Picture (P.O.P.) & Frames DIY
After your photo is taken, you are now able to decorate/paste (built in feature) on-the-spot with ANOTHER picture. You get to customised the very own frame shape you want! (Drawn by yourself). This is definitely a great feature for those who like neo-prints, or decorate their photos. Its a built in feature that is found inside the camera itself, which was not previously found in TR100 nor any of the models. As for those who like outer-frame on their photo, now you can have your very own frame shape. (E.g. if you want a triangle frame, you will draw a triangle & select the reverse button, you will get the shape you want as your frame! It's that easy!)

Thanks to Casio and omy.sg, I got a chance to review this wonderful camera! Since it only weighs 155g, it is virtually weightless when I put it in my bag so I now carry 2 cameras whenever I go out - definitely worth the trouble to keep changing the sim card from my EX1 and this TR150! The camera retails for $499, and you can find out more about the camera's availability from Casio Exilim Singapore's Facebook Page
