Hada Labo's SHA Arbutin Whitening Lotion

Friday, December 28, 2012
Oh gosh I don't even know how overdue this post is. It's been over a year since I've started using Hada Labo products, and you guys probably already know how much I love them due to my previous posts about their products. Today I'll be reviewing one of the existing products - the SHA Arbutin Whitening Lotion.

When it comes to my selection of skincare products, I've always been a huge fan of whitening products simply because I honestly think I look horrible tanned. Not only that - it seems to be easier for me to fake radiant looking skin on whiter/brighter skin.

Previously when I first bought my bottle of SHA Lotion, I was contemplating whether or not to pick up this blue bottled whitening one but I ended up getting the original because I felt that it would give me a better start to the brand with their best seller product. Well, enough said, time for me to move on into the review.

Housed in the exact same bottle (size as well) but in a different colour as the original SHA lotions, this blue bottle definitely stands out from my vanity so that I can easily pick it up through my array of skincare products.

The texture of the mildly milky-coloured lotion is very very light, just a little thicker than water would be (you can barely see it on my palm), and it absorbs into the skin very quickly due to it's very minute molecular size which also enables it to penetrate deep into the layers of the skin. Also, just like the original SHA lotion - this is odourless as well which makes it suitable for people with sensitive skin. (Note: Some people may be allergic to Arbutin so if you are please just stick to the normal SHA lotion)

I was breaking out during the period I received this so have yet to get the chance to do a full test until recently. After using this for about 5 days, I noticed my skin looking more radiant; notibly brighter skin after 10 days. My face also felt relatively more supple due the the adequet hydration as compared to using the products that were clearing my break outs.

It only takes a few drops per usage so a big bottle like this will definitely give you a run for your money. It isn't too costly (I think it retails for $22.90), and I have yet to finish the 2 bottles I own. Definitely give it a try and experience the wonders of the Hada Labo SHA products yourself!~

    1. Yup! Usually products are classified for different skin types rather than age (except those anti-aging products) so I think this would be great for you to try out since it is suitable for all skin types :)
